Anggito Abimanyu, vice minister of finance

Anggito Abimanyu, head of fiscal policy analysis board at ministry of finance, will be sworn in as vice minister of finance on Wednesday, January 6. A big fan of classical music, Anggito is a flute player. He performed Over The Rainbow, favorite song of finance minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, before the boss in early November 2009.
Born in Bogor, West Java, in February 19, 1963, Anggito graduated from Faculty of Economics at University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta and Master degree from University of Pennsylvania, USA in 1989. He got his PhD from the same university. He was a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University before he took the finance ministry job.
Anggito was commissioner at state-owned telecommunication giant PT Telkom Tbk, but resigned in June 2008. Married to Arma Latief, Anggito is a father of two. He is a big fan of Schubert's compositions.
Anggito's name was implicated in the investigation of bribery scandal of Abdul Hadi Jamal, former legislator, in the projects of Transportation Ministry. Jamal told Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) that Anggito approached and influenced some legislators in a meeting to approve higher allocation of the stimulus package.
