Sampoerna hoping to become Manchester United sponsor

Putera Sampoerna knows exactly that Indonesians are great fans of Manchester United. They could be die-hard spectators for Indonesia's national team, for sure. But I'm not sure if Indonesian knows exactly the team's fixture like the way they easily remember Wayne Rooney or Christiano Ronaldo. That's probably the reason behind Sampoerna's decision to become Manchester United's new shirt sponsor instead, as reported by The Independent yesterday.
An Indonesian billionaire who made his fortune from cigarettes is the owner of a secretive gambling firm that hopes to becomes Manchester United's new shirt sponsor, an industry source has told The Independent.
According to the source, Putera Sampoerna, a 58-year-old tycoon with personal assets estimated at upwards of £1.5bn, hopes that having the name of his Gibraltar-based online company, Mansion, on United's shirts, will aid the company's international growth, especially in the Far East.
"The Far East market is the holy grail in the gambling business," the source said. "There's huge potential there and United are seen as a way in."
I posted the Sampoerna and Mansion last week for your reference.
Just wonders how much of Sampoerna's money from the divestment of PT HM Sampoerna Tbk that really is reinvested in Indonesia. Could it be posible that United's fans here will hate the club for Mansion's name in the players' shirt? Gambling is strictly prohibited here, right? Should United take the offer, what might be the policy on live sports coverage in the local TV?
