Bank Jabar CEO examined in corruption case

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to examine Agus Ruswendi, CEO of PT Bank Jabar Banten, in relation to corruption investigation on former CEO Umar Syarifudin. 
KPK spokesperson said Ruswendi will be examined as witness in the case. KPK investigates corruption case in relation to unpaid taxes in 33 branches of Bank Jabar for a 2003-2004 period with Syarifudin as suspect. KPK predicted State loss of Rp376 billion in the case.
Bank Jabar Banten has just listed its Rp750 bonds this morning consisted of two series with 12.5% and maturity in 2014. The bank has total asset of Rp29 trillion or about US$2.9 billion. The bank booked net profit of Rp200 billion in the first quarter 2009, almost doubled from Rp112 billion in the same period last year.
